Pakistan breaches truce on international border in J&K


Jammu, Apr 19 (IANS): Pakistan Rangers on Tuesday violated the ceasefire agreement by firing at a Border Security Force (BSF) border outpost in Samba district of Jammu region, a senior police officer said.

"Pakistan Rangers violated the ceasefire by firing at the Regal border outpost of the BSF on the international border in Samba district today," the police officer told IANS here.

"They used automatics (automatic guns) to target the BSF post, but no damage occurred due to Pakistan firing. There was no retaliation from BSF side."

Ceasefire violation on the international border in Jammu and Kashmir has happened on a day Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting the state.
