Udupi, Oct 10: The Kaup police have seized a vehicle and arrested 3 persons, who were involved in illegally transporting cattle at Polipu cross, near Kaup here on Wednesday October 10.

The arrested persons have been identified as Subraya Nayak, the vehicle driver, Siddanna, a native of Davanagere and Raghu Poojary of Karkala. They were transporting 2 cows to the abattoirs in Mangalore from Udupi.

The seized cows were handed over to the care of Govardhangiri cow shelter located at Neelavar near Brahmavar here.
