Mangalore, Oct 8:
Students of Karnataka Poly-technique (KPT) urged Nagaraj Shetty, district-in charge-minister to transfer B Vijay Kumar, principal KPT in their memorandum submitted to the minister here on Monday October 8.

The memorandum represents the students of the college who were annoyed of the dictatorship of the principal. The protest staged on September 11 has ended in smoke. The protest will not end till justice is done to the students, the memorandum submitted by the students stated.

The memorandum also stated that the principal uses police force to threaten students for no reasons. He has been compelling students to join private tuitions which are run by him. Moreover, he does not hesitate to fail those who do not join his private tution. MSEZ students are prioritized more than students of the institution. Students of the institution are allowed to use the play ground only after 2.30pm. Till then the ground is provided to outsiders for money, the students complained in the memorandum.

The decisions made by him are unilateral. He does not respond to the problems of students. The principal has threatened students not to stage any protest. If they proceed to stage then conduct certificates would not be issued and criminal cases will be filed against the students, the students stated.

The students have urged the authority to transfer the principal and appoint another full-time principal immediately or else they would intensify their protest.

What KPT students are doing is right and All College students Union should support them and see that The Prinicpal is suspended and then transferred where he cannot play all these dirty games.
