Udupi, Oct 3: A silent protest rally from Kinnimulky to Service Bus Stand was taken out by the Congress party here on Tuesday, October 2.

The party workers of the Congress party were protesting against attacks made against its workers by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

They held a protest meeting at the Clock Tower near Service Bus stand. At this meet,  former MP Vinaykumar Sorake, former MLA U R Sabhapathi, president, Udupi District Congress Committee M.A. Gafoor, and others condemned the attack.

A memorandum was later submitted to the superintendent of police A S Rao. 

However, later  BJP MLA K Raghupati Bhat told media persons that his party workers too had been threatened by the Congress workers.
