Udupi, Oct 2: Two young men died when their motorcycle rammed into a stationary truck on National Highway (NH) 17 near ABCO Steel here on Monday October 1 evening.
The deceased have been identified as Ajay Shenoy (21), a resident of Ajjarakad and Praveen Nayak, a resident of Saligrama.
Both of them were on their way to Kinnimulki from Karavali Circle when the rider Ajay lost control over the bike and rammed into a lorry which was parked beside the road. The truck was parked on the dirt road, lies parallel to the NH.
The accident was such ghastly that Ajay died on the spot while pillion rider Praveen sustained serious injuries and succumbed later in the hospital.
