Udupi, Oct 2: A young man was knocked down by a speeding mobike on Manipal-Alevoor road, here on Sunday September 30.
The deceased has been identified as Thoma (25), a resident of Badagabettu village. According to the sources Thoma was walking beside the road near Shanthi Nagar when a motorcycle knocked him. As a result he sustained serious injuries and later died.
The negligence and rash riding of the rider Chethan was the cause of the accident, said eye witnesses
A case has been registered at Manipal police station for futher investigation.
