Karkala, Sep 26: The maiden issue of 'Suddi Kirana', a new newsweekly owned and published by Sukumar Muniyal, was released by Uppunda Chandrashekhar Holla at a function at Hebri near here.
Speaking on the occasion, Holla, who heads the organizing committee for the the All India Kannada literary meet planned to be held in Udupi had to be postponed because of irregular rains this month and also the bad condition of the roads. The new date will be December 12, he added.
Neere Krishna Shetty, outgoing president of Hebri gram panchayat presided over the function. Prasanna Ballal, Kapu Diwakar Shetty, Sunanda SKumar, Alevoor Yogish Acharya and others were present on the occasion.
