Mangalore, Sep 25: District Congress Minority dept president Mohiuddin Bava speaking to reporters here on Monda, September 24 declared that the coalition govt has done grave injustice to the minority by holding the elections for urban local bodies on Friday September 28.
According to him the 17th day of Ramzan was a holy day for Muslims, and since the day is a holy day for all Muslims, many voters from the community will be having problems in voting, he rued.
Bava however requested all voters in the community to participate in the election in the morning itself. He also alleged that the coalition govt. of BJP and JD(S) was planning to divide the Muslim votes.
Former MLA Vijayakumar Shetty and local leader Ivon D’Souza too were present on the occasion.
