Mangalore, Sep 24: The suspension order issued against University College Principal Sitaram Poojary has been revoked by higher authorities, sources said.

The higher education minister D H Shankarmurthy ordered the university authorities to suspend Sitaram Poojary for allegedly not allowing ABVP activists to conduct a programme at University College premises. This led to a big debate in the educational field. The students, lecturers, Congress and CPI (M) leaders staged protest against the higher education minister over the decision.

Prof K M Kaveriappa, vice-chancellor of Mangalore University has now clarified that the suspension order against Sitaram Poojary has been revoked.
