Mangalore, Sep 24: The annual general meeting of the Konkani Writers' Forum, Karnataka (R), Mangalore was held in Don Bosco Hall in the city on Sunday, September 23, 2007.
Forum president Dr Edward Nazareth welcomed the gathering and gave a brief account of the future plans. About 30 Konkani writers, most of them young, have joined the forum. With new members, he hoped, more and more literary activities could be held.
Two new books published by Lancy Pinto Nayak were released on the occasion. Senior writers Jerry Kulshekar, Victor Rodrigues, Edwin J F D’Souza, Gladys Rego and Shalini Valencia were present.
Dolphy F Lobo read the report of the activities and proposed a vote of thanks.
