Puttur, Sep 17: State youth JD(S) chief secretary Ibrahim Golikatte presented a memorandum to chief minister H D Kumaraswamy to double the Haj quota with a view to facilitate poor Muslims to go on pilgrimage from the state.

Ibrahim has urged the state government to curb the rich, in undertaking the pilgrimage innumerable times in order to give priority to poor Muslims who intend to go on pilgrimage for the first time.    

Ibrahim Golikatte congratulated Aravind Dalvai who was appointed as JD(S) state youth president recently.
