Mangalore, Sep 17: 'My role model' competition was conducted at Lourdes Central School, Bejai here on Monday September 17.

It was conducted in association with the department of English of Lourdes Central School.  

Disha Bhandary, Tanvi Pinto, Nisha M H, Daphne Crasta, Mithali Pinto and Savaanha Sequeira, participated in this competition. Kevin Fernandes compered the programme. Krishna Prasad Adappa and Captain Ram Prasad were present as resource persons.
 
Speaking to Daijiworld, Joy Rai, International School Accreditation (ISA) coordinator of Lourdes Central School said that the competition was conducted as a part of the ten projects undertaken as preliminary steps to get the accreditation from British Council, of which two projects are undertaken by the department of English.
 
The project to get the accreditation from British Council is a beginning to get the international recognition. The school is aiming at Global School Partnership (GPA) which will enable the school to exchange ideas on various issues both curricular and co-curricular activities. The projects have been undertaken in consultation with Grace Noronha, principal of the School, informed Violet D'Souza, coordinator of the department of English of the School.
