Mangalore, Sep 17: Fr Jerome D’Souza, parish priest of Mundkur Church has been appointed as the principal of Pompeii PU College, Aikala.

Earlier Fr Jerome was serving as a lecturer in this college. To honour their parish priest, the parishioners of Mundkur, held a felicitation function on Sunday September 16.

Baptist D’Souza, vice-president of the parish and Irene D’Souza, secretary were also present on the dais along with Fr Jerome.
 
Irene D’Souza introduced Fr Jerome. Baptist D’Souza honoured the priest.

Speaking about the priest Jessy D’Souza said that even though it is difficult to serve both a parish and a college, Fr Jerome served in both the places with smile and enthusiasm.

Accepting the honour Fr Jerome thanked the parishioners and said that he will still continue as their parish priest. He further said that serving in two places will not be a hurdle for him but he will accept it as his mission work. He also thanked the parishioners for their support and prayers.
 
Baptist D’Souza welcomed the gathering while Veena D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks and Avil D’Souza, compered the programme.
