Udupi, Sep 16: In a gruesome and tragic accident near Pangala Khotalakatte on the NH 17, two young people lost their lives on the spot after the car in which they were traveling, had an head-on collision with a tempo coming from the opposite direction in the late hours of Friday Sept 14, evening as per informed sources.
The deceased have been identified as Kabir aged 20 years son of Moiddin Kunhi and Kalil aged 20 years son of Abbas, both from Kasaragod district. They were both travelling toGoa from their native Kasaragod. Allegedly it is the reckless driving of the tempo driver which is responsible for ending two precious lives in the prime of youth.
Moreover since it was raining heavily, the rescue operations were delayed.
A case has been filed at the Kaup police station..
