Mangalore, Sep 15: The festival of Lord Ganesh was celebrated with great devotion and in a joyous mood at Kinnigoli near here, on Saturday September 15.
The festival was organized by the Sarvajanika Ganeshostsava Samiti. Many cultural programmes, sporting activities for children as well as for adults and religious programmes were organized as part of the religious celebration.
Thousands of devotees throng in large numbers to view Lord Ganesh here, in order to seek his blessings and receive ‘prasad’.
After the completion of all rituals, the idol of Lord Ganesha will be taken in a procession by devotees and finally will be immersed in water on Monday, September 17.
