Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (SM)

Udupi, Sep 15: Manorama Madhwaraj, MP, has written a letter to K H Muniyappa, union minister of state for road transport and highways, urging him to immediately see to the repairs of National Highway 17.

Copies of this letter were released to the press here on Friday September 14.

In the letter, Madhwaraj stated that the condition of  NH17 is bad and that it is difficult to travel on these roads. As a result, accidents have become common in this area. 
 
As Udupi will be hosting the 74th All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelan in October, many people will attend it and therefore it is necessary to repair the roads at the earliest, she added.
