Mangalore, Sep 14: M Maheshwara Rao, deputy commissioner and Uday Kumar Holla, lead district manger have appealed to the public servants who do not have a bank account yet have been instructed to open a zero balance account either in the cooperative society or in the nearest bank as soon as possible.

This was announced in a joint press release by deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao and Lead district manager Uday Holla here.

They also stated that the district will be declared ‘fully financially included’ shortly.

The district has also taken up the task of making the city fully financial inclusion ‘Sarva Banking Abhiyan’ under the direction of the Reserve Bank of India.

NGOs like SKFRDP, Navodaya Grama Vikas Charitable Trust and Nagarika Seva Trust will be taking up the task of surveying the families, opening of SB accounts of the families in the district, on behalf of the banks, the release stated.

The survey will be completed shortly. As soon as the survey is completed the district will be declared fully financial included thereafter.
