Mangalore, Sep 13: Badi, a Tulu movie will be screened on Friday September 14 at Jyothi theatre in the city, said director Richard Castelino while speaking to the media persons here on Thursday September 13. 

Richard Castelino said that it was intended to release the movie in Bangalore, Udupi and Mangalore simultaneously. However, owing to non-availability of theatres on time owing to the stunning success of Kannada movies across the state, the movie would be screened in Mangalore only. 

The movie was shot in and around Mangalore featuring nearly 120 actors. The movie was successful in bringing home the message of evils of dowry prevailing in the society, producer added. 

Moreover there are plans to produce a Kodava movie 'Ponnamma' shortly, said Charan Ragdev, the music director of Badi.

Sunder Hegde was also present at the press conference.
