According to official figures, 25,25,687 tourists have visited the Mysore Palace in 2006 whereas in the same period the number of visitors to Taj Mahal is 23,39,471. Mysore Palace is surging ahead of Taj Mahal in attracting tourists.
Sometimes, the number of tourists cannot be exactly counted. From this point of view, more visitors than shown in the statistics have visited Mysore Palace, say sources.
