4 held with explosives, detonators in Madhya Pradesh

Sagar (Madhya Pradesh), Jan 31 (IANS): Four people were arrested here with 10 quintal of explosives and 132 detonators, the police said on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, the police searched a truck near Kheda village in Sagar district on Saturday night and found 10 quintal of explosives and 132 detonators in it, Superintendent of Police Sachin Atulkar told IANS.

He said the police arrested four people who claimed that the explosives and detonators were meant for mining work.

The police were investigating the matter, a chilly reminder of the illegal trade in and use of explosives.
