Dense fog reduces visibility in Delhi


New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS): Dense fog engulfed the national capital on Thursday morning, reducing the visibility to a mere 300 metres, the Met Office said.

The day ahead will be partly cloudy, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, adding the minimum temperature settled at 9 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 am was recorded at 100 percent. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 24 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the average for this time of the season.
