10 policemen killed in Afghanistan


Kabul, Jan 26 (IANS): Ten police personnel at a checkpoint in Afghanistan's Uruzgan province were poisoned and shot dead on Tuesday, an official said.

They were killed after they fell unconscious, Xinhua quoted an official as saying.

The official did not rule out Taliban involvement in the incident, saying the attacker fled with the dead men's assault rifles.
