Mumbai, Sep 8: Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan has dismissed reports that he's been signed on as the brand ambassador for Rolls Royce in India.

Talking to a news agency, Bachchan said on the rumour: "Nowadays people write anything."

"Whoever thought up this one deserves a prize for his imagination. One ought to have the intelligence and common sense to know that Rolls Royce is its own brand ambassador. It doesn't need endorsement," the Big B added.

Before the release of Eklavya , Vidhu Vinod Chopra had gifted Bachchan a Rolls Royce.

Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag has bombed at the box office, but that hasn't deterred Bachchan from wanting to work again with Ram Gopal Varma .

"Yes, he (Varma) wants to do Time Machine with Abhishek and me. I'm comfortable working with Ramu. So why not another film? I haven't done a sci-fi before," Bachchan said.

And he also defended the director's take of the cult classic Sholay .

"I don't know why so much is being made out this. That someone decided to remake it ("Sholay') is a great compliment to the original. Nobody questions filmmakers who do so many varied interpretations of Shakespeare's 'Othello', 'Macbeth' and 'Romeo and Juliet'. When Vishal Bharadwaj makes Maqbool or Omkara he's praised for how well he has adapted Shakespeare. Baz Luhrmann has done a very contemporary version of 'Romeo and Juliet'. Then why not Ramu for re-interpreting 'Sholay'."
