Mangalore, Sep 8: The old Kudupu bridge here, located on NH 13 between Moodbidri and the city, just below a temple close by, collapsed near here in the wee hours of Saturday September 8 morning.
Owing to heavy rainfall, the side wall of the bridge cracked and came crumbling down. The road authorities then blocked off that side of the road with heavy stones and diverted traffic to the other lane.
