Udupi, Sep 7: A Continuing Medico- Legal Education (CMLE) programme on the “Role of the police and medical officers during investigation and trial” will be organized under the joint auspices of the department of Forensic Medicine of Katurba Medical College (KMC), the District Legal Services authority and the district police.The programme will be held on Saturday September 8.

This was announced in a press conference here by KMC dean RSP Rao on Thursday September 6.

The main purpose of the said programme is to improve the coordination between investigating agencies and the trial team compromising the police, doctors and public prosecutors to deliver justice, said RSP Rao.

Many police officers and doctors from primary health centers and KMC units will be participating in the programme, Dr Rao added.
