18 trains delayed as fog covers Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 21 (IANS): At least 18 Delhi-bound trains were running late as the national capital witnessed a foggy Thursday morning, the Northern Railway said.

According to Met Office, Delhi's minimum temperature settled at 6.9 degrees Celsius.

"The sky will remain mainly clear in the day," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, adding the maximum temperature may hover around 17 degrees Celsius.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 87 percent. The visibility at the same time stood at 1,200 meters, the weather office said.

Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 15.1 degrees Celsius, five notches below the average for this time of the season.

    On 2nd of January 2016 in a hurry mood we have boarding wrongly in Swaraj Exp. instead of Purusotam Exp. and when we come to know that the train started to leave the station. We are in S-8 coach fully rushed. I tried to stop the train by pulling the chain in diff. places of the coach but it won't work. We are helpless. The next stopage is Mathura. We reached at 00:00 hours and at 3:00am we caught another train to back Delhi. Due to cold weather my family with small children suffered a lot in that night. My point is if any un-happened accident will hapen and the train will not stop then who is the responsible for this and in what way anybody can get an alternative help.

    On that day we suffered a lot in physically, mentally and financially.

    Anyway again on 5th of January 2016 we went Bhubaneswar (hometown) from Delhi with my family, we found that trains are running timely & stations are neat and clean then earlier we have seen. But, the coaches sanitary system is as usual wrost. Some toilets are working some are not some pots lids are not there how can a person use that one during his 30 hours journey. Mainly our peoples have diff. culters and they don't have any CIVIC sense.
