After Crafting Campaigns Of Modi, Nitish , Amarinder Singh on Prashant Kishor's List

PATNA, Jan 19 (NDTV): Star election strategist Prashant Kishor, who managed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, will be managing the Congress campaign for the assembly elections in Punjab.

Kishor confirmed this to NDTV days after his group, Indian Political Action Committee or I-PAC, said they were "not involved in any state election campaign."

"Yes, I am doing the campaign strategy for Captain Amarinder Singh and the decision was taken after a series of meetings with him," Kishor told NDTV.

In the recently concluded state elections in Bihar, Kishor had strategised the campaign for Nitish Kumar. The Grand Alliance had trounced the BJP in the elections.

The Congress has been out of power in Punjab for the last nine years, having been defeated twice by ruling Akali-BJP combine. Assembly elections in the state will be held in 2017.

After reports of a meeting between Kishor and Amarinder Singh last week, I-Pac, in a series of tweets, had said such reports were "completely baseless."

"I-PAC or Prashant Kishor are not involved in any state elections or advising any political party or their leader in any capacity on their campaign strategy-directly or indirectly," their tweet read.

Though nothing has been conveyed officially to the Congress high command, sources say Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh was keen to have Kishor on board and the party has no objections.

ZERO!!..MODI was a successful CM for 10 years..He proved himself as CM, then contested for PM..2014 was a riot free, non polarised election, eventhough Congress/some media try to give majority/minority angle..it was not..till today PM not followed majority appeasement, not promised temple..But from day one Congress started to communalise everything & show it as anti Dalit Govt..pure antinational/communal agenda followed..supporters are confused with PM material RAHUL, whether to support him or not, watching his nonsense..He ran to Hyderabad crying DALIT DALIT, but its still not clear whether student is DALIT or not..media reports says his father not Dalit, He didnt got seat on SC quota..social media exposing the student & its rowdism..may be thats why suddenly media gone silent..the wat Congress/sicular parties behaving, 2019 election surely will be a polarised one..

    Stan,
It seems unlikely that AAP could create problems for the Congress in Punjab. There is quite a bit of dissidence among AAP workers in Punjab against AAP. Also Captain Amrinder Singh of the Congress party in Punjab who defeated Arun Jaitley in the Lok Sabha 2014 elections from the Amritsar constituency was successful in getting about 21 AAP members to join the Congress party in Punjab quite recently.

..foolishness to think MODI/NITISH won because of this guy..media simply hyping this guy..without conducive enviornment & promising leader elections can't win..why cant LEFT front offer KISHOR for WB elections, if thats so easy..ASSAM CM clearly said KISHOR strategy wont work if GOVT didnt do good works for people..there is UPA2 situation in PUNJAB & some media houses like NDTV also started propaganda..even accidents in PUNJAB gets front page coverage..so CONGRESS has upper hand, if AAP didnt spoil game..
