Bantwal, Sep 6: “A teacher who teaches the notion of human virtues is a true teacher indeed,” said eminent litterateur, Prof Amrita Someshwar.

He was speaking during the educational debate programame, organized by Taluk Teachers’ Day Celebrations Committee, on the occasion of Teachers Day celebrations, on Wednesday September 5.

 

 

 

“Teacher has been glorified in the history.  However, over glorification of teacher would not be justified” he said.  

Moreover he called on the teachers to mix freely with the students, in clear mind, thereby winning the hearts of students which would serve as tribute to them.

 

 

 

 

District-in-charge minister, B Nagaraj Shetty, inaugurated the programme and honoured the teachers on the occasion.

Block Education Officer (BEO) K Sudhakar,  B R Ramesh, Shivaprasad Shetty, retired lecturer Ramanna Alva were present on the occasion.   Mahabaleshwar Hebbar and Ramachandra Rao compered the programme.
