Mangalore, Sep 3: Meghasandya, a Hindustani musical concert was organized at Ravindra Kala Bhavana of the University College here on Sunday September 2.

Anantha Krishna, chairman of Karnataka Bank, N S Chakkera, the general manager of Karnataka Bank and K U Shanbhag, deputy general manager of Syndicate Bank inaugurated the concert.

The lovers of Hindustani music witnessed the concert with renowned artist Pt Vinayak Torvi, who was accompanied by Narendra L Naik on harmonium and Gurumurthy Vaidya on tabala performing at their best. He was also supported by Dattatreya Velankar and Jeevan Ram on vocal support and Thanpura respectively.

Usha Prabha Naik, trustee of the foundation compeered the programme and initial briefings were done by Narendra L Naik.

Ustad Rafique Khan, president, Narendra L Naik, vice-president, Venkatesh Baliga, trustee, Sanjeev, treasurer and Parodi Radha Krishna Rao, secretary of the foundation were present in the concert.
