Mangalore, Sep 3: "We do not question the models of developments instead we blindly accept them but it should not be continued, we should question them," told Girish Kasaravalli an internationally well-known Kannada film director here on Sunday September 2. 

He was delivering the presidential address at the valedictory function of two-day symposium on 'Sahityavu Stalantaravu' held in the auditorium of St Aloysius College. 

Speaking about electricity and one's dependency on it, he said "we should think how we can lessen our dependence upon electricity so as to save electricity in order to protect our environment. Thus we can think in broader terms and it would be more useful than thinking which way of generating electricity would be eco friendly." 

Fr Swebert D'Silva,  principal of St Aloysius College, G Rajashekar, Jasavanth Jadav, Dr N Damodar Shetty were present in the valedictory function.     

Rashmi, student of St Aloysius College compeered the programme, Dr N Damodara Shetty welcomed while Shresha Kumar proposed vote of thanks.
