Mangalore, Aug 31: National executive and PYC presidents, at the meeting held on August 1 and 2, decided to launch nation-wide membership drive of the Indian Youth Congress from August 16.

As approved by Oscar Fernandes, CWC member I/C frontal organizations and Ashok Tanwar, president, Indian Youth Congress, Naveen R D’Souza has been appointed as additional pradesh returning officer (APRO) of the state of Goa.

He has been directed to proceed to the concerned state to look after the functioning of the PYC in this regard and also to mobilize Youth Congress cadre to actively participate in the programme more vigorously to further strengthen the organization up from grassroots as well as strengthen the hands of young leader Rahul Gandhiji and Congress president, Sonia Gandhi.
