Mangalore, Aug 31:  Functionaries and members of Canara group of educational institutions paid rich tributes to Kepul Dinesh Nayak, former secretary of Canara High School Association, who passed away on Sunday August 26.

A large gathering converged in the T V Raman Pai Convention Centre to to condole Nayak's death. Leading the speakers, Nitte Education Trust chairman N Vinaya Hegde describe Kepul as a pillar of strength. He also said, having had the same experience like Kepul in the initial days, he was aware of what a struggle it was to set up an engineering college in a village.

Umesh Mallya, Basti Narayan Shenoy, MUDA Chairman Dr Madhav Bhandary, Basti Vaman Shenoy, S S Kamath, Nagaraj Javali and others also spoke about the life and achievements of Dinesh Nayak.

Ammembal Subba Rao Pai Fund president B B Shanbhag, Canara High School Association secretary Annappa Pai, S Srinivas Kamath, other members of the Association and many teaching staff were present on the occasion.
