Foggy Thursday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, Dec 31 (IANS): It was a foggy Thursday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average, the Met Office said.

The weather office has forecast a mainly clear sky throughout the day.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 24 degrees Celsius, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 97 percent.

The weather office said the minimum visibility on Thursday morning was 600 metres.

Poor visibility due to fog in Delhi and other parts of northern India on Thursday morning led to the rescheduling of two trains while 10 trains were running late.

Wednesday's maximum temperature was recorded five notches above the season's average at 25.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 8.5 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.
