Woman allegedly raped in Infosys Pune campus, 2 arrested

Pune, Dec 29 (PTI): A woman working as a canteen cashier at the sprawling Infosys campus in Hinjewadi area here was allegedly raped by two men, police said today.

The two accused have been arrested, they said.

According to a complaint registered by the victim with police, the two accused -- Paritosh Baag and Prakash Mahadik -- entered the washroom when the woman was inside it on December 27, they said.

One of the men allegedly raped her while the other clicked pictures on his mobile phone and threatened her, Hinjewadi police said.

The two accused have been arrested and booked under IPC section 376 (rape), they said.
Police have recovered the mobile phone used by the accused, according to assistant police inspector C M Suryavanshi.

Further investigation into the case was on, police added.

Meanwhile, in a statement, Infosys said that the incident involves one of its partners' contractual staff.

"We are investigating the matter and are working closely with the police to aid their investigation," it said.

The company also said that it has a "zero tolerance" policy against sexual harassment which extends to contractual staff as well, and all the campuses have stringent security measures in place.

Please legalize the law and take stern action into this kind of hatred or crimes of raping the weak and helpless children and women as they like it. It has to be stopped immediately, and it can be done only if they are given direct death sentence within three days of crime and arrest.

Otherwise we are really in trouble because our cuntry like India our sharm and haya ka parda faasht hota jaa raha hai, and our Central and State Governments are responsible and also our Law and judiciary constitution are also affected.

The death sentence is must for Rapists, Terrorists and Murderers. Please don't delay.
India is only the Nation, where western culture is not complete,if it continues like this, Our country will cross the limits of western culture.

Also put full stop, and ban carrying mobiles by children to schools and working women to offices. Our ultimate aim is to save our families.

There used to be a time or even now sometimes that people used to have gangs to settle score between two rivals. They had no confidence in courts and its decision and the time it used to take to settle the matter, so this was an quick and fast option. Now it has gone one step further involving women if they have grudge on them and hitting them hard where it hurts the most. May be it is such case but nevertheless it is crime and the guilty should be punished but we all are at the mercy of the justice system of this great country.

Just yesterday evening, when DW published news of gang rape of minor girl in Mangalore, some people(Bhakts?) commented, 'it is utter failure of Law & Order in the state', 'Siddu sleeping', bla bla bla...

Today, rape incident happend in Pune (Maharastra)!
Will those commentators post same view (sleeping, jumping etc)on this incident?
Crime rates in UP, Bihar, Rajastan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharastra are higher than Karnataka. Commentators should know this fact!

Guys, crime is crime... no matter in which state it happens, under whos rule/Govt it happens. Criminals/Rapists must be punished without pointing fingures at any perticular political party, caste, religion.

This think is happening repeatedly only due to weak judiciary system in india. The culprits know that they can come out by hiring a lawyer and lawyers are making money out of it. The only solution to this hate crime is to either hang the real culprits or cut their organ to suffer whole life. Unless and until tough action is taken, there will not be any solution to this. Hope Govt will wake up now at least. Or is it still waiting for more Nirbhayas. Or the politicians are waiting for getting own daughters/wifes/sisters/mothers face the situation.
