Three killed in Afghan blast


Kabul, Dec 27 (IANS): Three people, including two policemen, were killed in a bomb blast that rocked Lashkar Gah, in Afghanistan's Helmand province, on Sunday.

"A bomb planted by militants went off in Bolan area on the outskirt of provincial capital Lashkar Gah, killing two policemen and a civilian," a senior official told Xinhua news agency. 

The blast occurred when a police team was on routine patrol, he said.
