PM seeks ideas for National Youth Festival

New Delhi, Dec 27 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday sought ideas from the youth about the 'National Youth Festival' that will commence on January 12, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

Modi during his monthly radio address 'Mann Ki Baat' said that on January 12, "we will celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Since 1995, National Youth Festival has been taking place on that day".

Stating that the festival will be held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and this year its theme is 'Indian Youth on development, skill and harmony', Modi said: "The festival will take the shape of mini-India with the youth from all over joining. Can you give me ideas for the youth festival?"

"Please share your ideas on the 'Narendra Modi Mobile App'. I wish to know your mind through these ideas. That these ideas be reflected in the 'National Youth Festival' will also be suggested to the government," the prime minister added.
