Kundapur, Aug 29: De-addiction campaign was organized under the joint auspices of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Koteshwar unit and the other voluntary organizations in the Saraswathi Kalyana Mantapa of Koteshwar here recently.
Addressing the campaign Dr K S Karanth, popular psychiatrist, said that orgy in the public places will disturb the peace of the local people there by causing concern for the police to maintain law and order.
Dr Sudhakar Nambiar, president of working journalists' association, conveners Jayakar Shetty of Bailoor education trust and industrialist and Dinesh Kamath were also present.
Shakunthala welcomed the gathering and Jyothi Kalavar compered the programme. Babanna Khumbashi proposed the vote of thanks.
