Mangalore, Aug 27: The construction work of 50 kilometers of wall in coastal Karnataka, in order to prevent sea erosion, will begin in January 2008, informed B Nagaraj Shetty district in-charge minister.

The proposal of Rs 291 crore was ready for which the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide the funds, said Shetty talking to reporters here on Sunday August 26.

He further said that government will submit all necessary and important documents to the ADB.  He further added that the construction of the wall along the shore would reduce the problem of sea erosion to a great extent.
