Rajya Sabha repeatedly adjourned on DDCA issue

New Delhi, Dec 22 (IANS): The Rajya Sabha's proceedings were once again repeatedly disrupted on Tuesday - four times in the pre-lunch session - over alleged corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association issue as Congress members raised slogans against the government.

Congress leader Kumari Selja raised the issue soon after the upper house met.

Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien, however, said an allegation against a member cannot be made in the house without prior notice.

The deputy chairman tried to make the house function, but the din continued.

After around half-an-hour, the house was adjourned till 12 noon.

As the Congress members raised slogans to demand the resignation of the finance minister when the house met for the question hour at 12 noon, Chairman M. Hamid Ansari adjourned the house for half-an-hour.

At 12.35 p.m., Ansari tried again to take up the question hour, but confusion prevailed amid the din as to which question was being taken up. The house was adjourned till 1 p.m. and then again till 2 p.m.

The proceedings in the upper house were disrupted on Monday as well after Congress members demanded Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's resignation over alleged corruption in the DDCA.

Best Example for Double standard of Congress:
"Release of young convict triggers urgency - Juvenile Bill to come up in RS on Dec 22"
senior Opposition MPs like Ghulam Nazi Azad and Sitaram Yechury said the government did not list it in Monday’s agenda and they could not be blamed for this.

Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien, however, said an allegation against a member cannot be made in the house without prior notice.

Yesturday congress leader denied to discuss as it is not in list. (forgot that it was listed previously and Congress was in Coma that time), and today they want to discuss something which is not in agenda list.

no need to prove the double standard of Congress. They dont want Juvinile bill to be passed.
