Swamy alloted government house for security reasons: Government

New Delhi, Dec 19 (IANS): The central government on Saturday said that BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy, who filed a complaint against Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and vice chief Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case was alloted a government accommodation because of security reasons.

Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also hit back at the Congress, which had said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government were behind Swamy's court case and he was rewarded with a government house due to it, questioning the allotment of official accommodation to Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra.

"Who gave Robert Vadra a government bungalow? Is Robert Vadra an MP?" he told reporters at BJP headquarters.

"Congress should realise that dozens of people get government accommodation because of security reasons. This included (Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi who was member of neither house of parliament," added Naqvi.
