Mangalore, Aug 25: With majority of the MLAs of the state busy with their China tour, two MLAs of DK made news, by rejecting the China tour.

The tour was offered by assembly speaker Krishna. Since Dakshina Kannada district is facing problems owing to heavy rain and sea erosion, it is not the right time to go on foreign tour, opined Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra and Ullal MLA U T Khader.

It is not good to stay away from the people when they are facing problems. That is why the offer was rejected, informed the MLAs.

    Perhaps these two MLAs will change the attitude of other MLAs one day, if their rejection of China tour is for the sake of people and for the district from where they elected. For me, it looks like they are honest and wants to do something for the people and the district.

    Other MLAs are only interested in tours and luxury life using the money from the ex-chequer, which is paid by the public to the benefit of the nation.
