Mangalore, Aug 24: A final decision should be made with regard to constructing Ambedkar Bhavan in Mulki Lingappayya Kadu  at the earliest, lest Dalit Sangarsh Samiti (D S S) would launch a massive protest on Friday Aug 24 in front of the office of Mulki Town Panchayat,  said DSS district convener Ananda P.

There is no opposition from the general public to construct the Bhavan.  But the considerable pressure from vested interests has prevented from becoming a reality.

Rayappa, executive officer of Mulki town panchayat, has also been transferred due to pressure from vested interests.  The construction should be completed with in the stipulated time solving all the obstacles, he added.

The office-bearers of the DSS, S Ramesh Kotian, Nagesh, Manjunath and Varun were present in the press conference.
