Bihar legislator surrenders in court in murder case


Patna, Dec 14 (IANS): Bihar's ruling Janata Dal-United legislator Ramesh Singh Kushwaha, wanted in an 18-year-old murder case, on Monday surrendered in a court in Siwan district, police said.

Kushwaha, who was accused in a murder case of 1997, surrendered in the court of chief judicial magistrate in Siwan and filed a petition for his bail, a police official said.

Kushwaha is a newly elected JD-U legislator from Jiradei assembly constituency in Siwan.
