Mangalore, Aug 23: The rains again have started troubling the city severely. The non stop rain which started pouring on Tuesday August 21 midnight continued till Wednesday August 22.

Hence, the residents of low-lying areas around the city, faced difficulties to reach their destination in the morning.

Owing to blockage of drainage at Babbukatte near Thokkottu, rain water entered into the Super Oil and Floor Mill on Wednesday August 22.  The machines of the mill have been damaged owing to the entry of rain water. The total loss has been estimated at Rs 1.5 lac.

Owing to the works of Asian Development Bank (ADB), the drainages, created for smooth flow of rain water have been blocked in various places. It was the same case with Super Oil and Floor Mill at Babbukatte. The locals blamed and demanded the authorities to solve the problem at the earliest.
