Mangalore, Aug 23: Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Public Instruction department in collaboration with the BEM Composite PU College will organize an inter-high school Kabaddi tournament on Saturday August 25, informed P Jayashankar, school headmaster while speaking to reporters here on Wednesday August 23.

A total of 620 players will participate in the tournament which will be held under two categories including below 14 years and below 17 years for boys and girls respectively, he added. 

Further giving information regarding the guests on the dais on the occasion, Jayshankar  stated that Devananda Pai, former MCC corporator will inaugurate the tournament. Sudheer Kumar, former captain of Kerala state Kabaddi team and Alwyn Colaco convenor of BEM Composite PU College will be the chief guest. 

Sadananda Shetty, chairman of Shree Devi Education Trust and Puroshothama Padakannaya retired physical education teacher will be the chief guests during the valedictory ceremony which will be held on the same day at 4.30 pm.
