Dilip Ghosh is West Bengal BJP chief

New Delhi, Dec 11 (IANS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Friday appointed Dilip Ghosh as its West Bengal unit president ahead of the 2016 assembly polls.

Ghosh, a general secretary in the state BJP, replaces Rahul Sinha, whose term has ended. Sinha is now a national secretary.

The West Bengal unit, under Sinha's leadership, failed to create any impact in the recent panchayat and civic body elections. He was re-elected the president in 2012 for three years.
