Mangalore, Aug 23: A special branch of Udupi division of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will be set up in the city at the earliest.
Briefing on the products brought out by LIC Surendra Behera, Udupi division, senior divisional manager told reporters here on Wednesday August 22 that the branch will help promote credit cards, health insurance, etc.
He proposed to have satellite offices at Beltangady and Moodbidri too. He said that the LIC controlling authority has agreed for the special branch and is waiting for permission from the zonal office. LIC is also planning to join hands with cooperative banks for joint collaboration.
‘Fortune Plus’ an endowment assurance plan will be launched by LIC on Thursday August 23, informed a press release.
