Rajya Sabha disrupted over National Herald case

New Delhi, Dec 11 (IANS): The Rajya Sabha was again disrupted on Friday over the National Herald case, with Congress members trooping near the chairman's podium and raising slogans.

Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien adjourned the house till 11.30 a.m soon after it met.

The protests continued when the house met again, with Congress members raising slogans and calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a dictator.

"This is the kind of noise that comes in a zoo," said Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

"I am sorry because some members are shouting, which is very unfortunate. We are not able to run the house, important bills are pending. You are failing in performing your duty," Kurien said before he adjourned the house till noon.
