MLA murder witness shot dead, Delhi Police arrests 19-yr-old girl in connection

New Delhi, Dec 11 (IExpress) : Delhi Police Thursday arrested a 19-year-old girl in connection with the murder of Vipin Sirohi, who was shot dead near Japanese park in Outer Delhi’s Rohini area on Tuesday.

Vipin was one of the prime witnesses in the murder of former MLA Bharat Singh.

Vipin was with the girl at the time of the incident, said sources in the police. The girl, whose identity has not been revealed by the police, was arrested from Gurgaon and charged with criminal conspiracy to commit murder.

Vipin had befriended the girl nearly a month ago, said sources in the police.

“On Tuesday, Vipin had planned to meet the girl… he left on a motorcycle without informing anyone and without taking his personal security officer along. The girl was with Vipin at the time of the shooting but disappeared after that,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer, Vikramjit Singh.

During questioning, the girl told the police that she was close to Aditya Shokeen, who had asked her to befriend Vipin, said sources.

Aditya is the nephew of Udaiveer Kale, the prime accused in the murder of Singh, who had been arrested in March from Najafgarh.

The girl had asked Vipin to meet her on Tuesday near Rithala Metro Station, said the police.

“Vipin wanted to take her for a movie but she convinced him to take her to an isolated stretch near Japanese Park, Rohini, where the suspects Aditya, his cousin Hemant and their accomplices were waiting for Vipin,” said the DCP.

After Vipin was shot dead, the girl fled the scene, said police sources.

Vipin used to work as a driver for former MLA Bharat Singh and he was reportedly very close to Pehalwan’s family. After Singh’s death, he started working as a driver for Pehalwan.

Police believe that Vipin’s murder was carried out by contract killers and it was planned by gangster Neeraj Bawana and Kale, who are both lodged in Tihar jail.

Compare this with the eye witness in Salman Khan's Hit & Run Case, where Police Constable & Salman's Bodyguard Ravindra Patil was a prime witness to show that Salman was driving the car himself and caused accident. Later on Police dept itself pressurized Ravindra Patil to change his statement and say that a different driver was driving the car and not Salman.
But Ravindra refused to give false witness, and hence he was thrown out of Police dept and even his family refused to accept him as he had refused to accept crores of bribe offered by Salman's representatives. At the end Ravindra died a beggars death ín a govt Hospital. Finally this resulted in the acquittal of Salman yesterday for lack of eye witness evidence in the High Court. Many prime witness against Asaram Bapu have also been eliminated by contract killers. In India honest witnesses have no right to live.
