Bangalore, Aug 22: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy and Bangalore Catholic Association will be jointly organizing 'Konkani Sangitotsava' in Gurunanak Bhavan here on Sunday August 26. 

A press release issued by Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Eric Ozario stated that chief minister H D Kumaraswamy would be the chief guest and other guests would be Kannada and culture minister Mahadeva Prasad and Prof Jayantha Nayak.

Siddapura Vasudeva Bhatt's collections and a book on stalwarts of Konkani of 20th century edited by Dr Gerald Pinto will be released by the chief minister.

Leading music director Rag Dev Charan Mallya and Kannada film music directors Guru Kiran and Alwyn Fernandes will be the guest artistes who will be enthralling the gathering on that day.  A total of 21 young and senior singers too will be performing along with these well-established persons.

State award winner Puttur Narsihma Nayak, Wilfy Rebimbus and Anuradha Dhareshwar too are the part of the show.

Registrar S H Shivarudrappa, president Eric Ozario, Karnataka Konkani Catholic Association president Valerian Fernandes and member Gabriel Vaz were present at the press meet held here on Wednesday August 22 afternoon.
